April 2011 Welsh Factor News:

April has been a busy month for us, specially the heats in Seaside Social Labour Club, The amount of Contestants we have had for this competition have broken all Welsh Factor Competition records! Port Talbot Rocks!

The Seaside had the pleasure of the manic Street Preachers performing there on Easter Bank Holiday as being part of the “PASSION” which Michael Sheen brought to the town of Port Talbot with the National Theatre of Wales. The “PASSION” play was held in different locations across Port Talbot over three days, including the Beach front, Town Centre, Seaside Social and various other parts, which brought thousands of people and local celebrities such as Paul Potts & Katherine Jenkins to come and witness this wonderful play. 

We have teamed up with Festival 4 Stars for their Welsh based Heats, We will be helping them on their next heat being held at the Porthcawl Pavillion on the 15th May, if you would like to enter this competition please follow the link on our link page to take you direct to their website.

We would like to congratulate James Piper on winning the Ynyscynon Mini Welsh factor, first prize will give him an automatic place in the semi final of one of the competitions, all the runner ups will get an automatic place in one of the quarter finals competitions either in Seaside or Mountain Ash. We would like to wish all the contestants good luck in reaching the quarter finals.

The Music Video for Jessica McNeil has been filmed and we will be launching her first video at a launch night later in May, will keep you all updated about this, Well done Jess!!

The next few months will see the launch of the new record company "VIDA RECORD LABEL" which has been set up by Anna Marie Thomas to promote the talent coming through the ranks of the Welsh Factor.
