Welsh Factor December Newsletter:

The Welsh Factor has been active behind the scenes since our last newsletter and there have been very important developments that can only help enhance the reputation of the Welsh Factor. We will list the developments in the order they developed through the last few weeks.

Date Announced for The Welsh Factor National Final 2012

Music Wales Ltd, has become the Welsh Factor major sponsor for the Welsh Factor National final which will be held in the New Gwyn Hall in Neath on Thursday 6th December 2012. The prize for the winner will be 1,000 CD’s a portion of which will be distributed in major stores such as Tesco’s, Asda’s, Amazon, WH Smith, HMV and many other outlets. Music Wales Ltd is the only company that have the franchise to do this for Welsh recording products. This is the first time in the history of Welsh Entertainment that a major Record Label and a major Talent Competition based in Wales have formed an alliance to promote Welsh Talent!

The Welsh Factor will go live over the internet

Video Majic is a television internet company that have also formed an alliance with the Welsh Factor project to promote Welsh Factor contestants on their channel. This is a fantastic development whereby contestants can view themselves in a virtual theatre on the internet and promote their talent. There will be opportunities for artistes to be filmed in competition, theatre, and also on showcase platforms creating a history of their development through the Welsh Factor project. The Welsh Factor has approved a “one off” date to take the competition to Paddles Nightclub, 14, Main Street, Pembroke SA71 4AP on Sunday 15th January from 1pm to 8pm, Entries now being taken for this.

Neath Port Talbot College

Neath Port Talbot Performing Arts department has given a glowing endorsement of the Welsh Factor project and this will help reciprocate developments in the careers of contestants who enter the Welsh Factor and those who attend the Performing Arts courses run by the college. There is so much we can achieve by being united it will benefit all who seek to enter the professional ranks of the entertainment industry.

Dean Verbeck Personal Management

The Welsh Factor is always open to form alliances and partnerships with all agencies who seek to promote the performing arts. A main player in this field is the Dean Verbeck Personal Management Agency, a talent agency based in South Wales specializing in promoting up and coming talent in various forms of the media. They represent both children and adult actors in film, Television and theatre as well as radio, modelling, commercials and voice work. Dean Verbeck has over 20 years experience in the entertainment industry as a performer, director and producer.    

As well as being the driving force behind DVPM Dean is also Artistic Director of the highly acclaimed Theatre Company ‘4th Wall Productions’ and The Award Winning Performance Factory Stage School.

Dean will be a judge on the Finals and Grand National Final. We feel this uniting of major players on the Welsh Entertainment scene can do nothing but benefit all concerned in this development with the winners being the contestants who seek to develop their talent.

JK Pro Audio the offical Sound Supplier for the Welsh Factor

JW Pro Audio has become a major sponsor of the Regional Welsh Factor Finals supplying the Sound system for all the heats promoted by the Welsh Factor. Apart from supplying a first class sound system to the Welsh Factor, Jimi also provides a £20 voucher for each heat, semi final and final of the Welsh Factor Regional Finals. The Welsh Factor will hit Porthcawl & Pembroke in January & February 2012

In January the Welsh Factor begins another Regional Final in the High Tide, Porthcawl and applications are invited from all talented people to enter this competition. We are going to West Wales in January for a “single” heat at Paddles Club in Pembroke. This will be an afternoon and evening event in conjunction with Video Magic our television internet company where all contestants will be filmed for their performance to be promoted on the internet. Applications for this prestigious event are now being accepted by the Welsh Factor. You don’t have to be from West Wales to enter this one! The date of this event is 5th February 2012 Paddles Nightclub, 14, Main Street, Pembroke SA71 4AP from 1pm to 8pm, Entries now being taken for this.

Wales’s Largest Talent Show link up with Mix Mechanics to find the best DJ’s in the Country!

The Welsh Factor, in partnership with Mix Mechanics will be launching a competition focusing solely on DJ's. DJ's can upload their best set (Sample) which will be uploaded to the Mix Mechanics YouTube Channel, The DJ’s will receive votes from the public via a text system to establish a winner. Together we aim to create a competition that could, in the future, become a national competition, with winners receiving an array of coveted prizes.

Mix Mechanics is the only competition you need to get your sets heard, and broadcast via the internet. The finals taking place at a location to be named at a later date. More information about this competition will be released in January 2012.

Neath Round Table Summer Festival

2012 will see another Partnership of the Welsh Factor developing with the Neath Round Table organising their Entertainment programme for Neath’s biggest 2 day summer festival being held at Cwrt Herbert playing fields with over 10,000 people enjoying the festival for all ages. This year the Carnival will be on Friday 13th July and Saturday 14th July. On Friday night we will be bringing the Countries No.1 Westlife & Take That Tribute group “ENVY”from Newcastle performing alongside some of the Winners from the Welsh Factor, to finish off the night with one of the biggest fireworks displays that Neath has seen since Nov 5th.

Saturday 14th July will see the day start off in Neath Town Centre with all the floats parading through Neath on route to Cwrt Herbert Playing fields from 12.30am to 5.50pm with Live Music running all day on the main stage, with Funfair, Stalls and Beer Tents, this Event is one to be added to your diary and not to be missed!

Prints of Wales Photography

We would like to welcome on board Andy & June from Prints of Wales as the official Photographer’s for the Welsh Factor, at every Welsh Factor you can now have your Photograph taken with the Studio which will be set up at every show, on the night your photo will be taken, printed off and given to you in a frame, the cost of this is £5.00 per photo. We have decided to link up with Prints of Wales as we found that Contestants would like to have their photo taken on the night and be able to remember their experience at the Welsh Factor.

please note that we do not allow any photography or videos to be filmed at any of our Shows.

For those who wish to get involved with the Welsh Factor please get in touch with us as the company is expanding in the future and hope to create permanent employment positions in the future.
