September 2011 Welsh Factor News:
We are back in JK’s Club in Neath for the 3rd year running, we think that is a massive achievement in itself, when we started the Welsh Factor three years ago, we never thought it was going to be such a success three years down the line, and it is still growing! The amount of new contestants who wish to enter the JK’s Welsh Factor has been outstanding. In September we are on the road preparing for the other competition which will be in Croeserw Wkms Clubin the Afan Valley starting on Monday October 3rd 2011. Since the club has been re-built after a fire in the club a few years ago, GTMP have been their Agent for supplying live Entertainment to them. We are pretty excited about going to Croeserw as this is where Gareth Thomas one of the organizers grew up as a young boy and he knows most of the people that go to the club. The Welsh Factor has decided to add another date to take us up to the end of the year.
This will also be a new venue and new location for us which will take us near the Cardiff Area, as a lot of you have been asking for the last year when we would be coming nearer to the Capital. The new venue is The Three Saints Hotel in Llantriasant and it opposite the Royal Mint where all the money in the country in made! We have secured a deal with the hotel that if you wish to stay just quote “Welsh factor Special Rate 1”, you can book a room and they will give you discount. The Three Saints Hotel also has a lovely Indian restaurant called the Red Mint, we have been there for lunch and it is very nice, the video below is from the opening of the restaurant. In July was the start of the Owen Money search for a Star competition which is held at the Hi Tide in Porthcawl every year. We would like to congratulate three contestants from the Welsh Factor who got placed on the Final, 1st Prize went to Louise Hall who has won 2 Welsh Factors, 2nd Place went to John Adams who came 3rd in JK's in 2010, John auditioned for the X Factor and had his full audition shown on ITV on saturday 17th September, he has been picked to go to boot camp, we wish him good luck on his journey to stardom! 3rd went to Lelha Hughes who just won our last competiton in Port Talbot. Well done Guys we are really proud of all of you!!
