February 2010 seen the start of The Welsh Factor Academy Which was set up by Anna Marie Thomas to train up and coming Artiste for a future in the Entertainment Industry where Anna thought there was a gap in the market for New Talent to be trained. Since the Academy opened its doors, Many Artistes have gone to earn a good living within the Industry and live their dream of becoming a professional Artiste.

The Academy

The Welsh Factor Academy is a place where contestants or potential contestants can pick up ideas and tips to improve their skills. The following is a list of topics that each contestant will be taught to prepare them for a career at the entry level of Show business. These events will be run on separate nights to the Welsh Factor competitions as these nights are less intense.

Anna Marie Thomas is also the Principal of The Welsh Factor Academy, Vida Record Label & Artiste Management  which has been established for over 14 years, and has gained experience in booking venues such as Holiday Parks, Hotels, Social Club, Private Clubs, Country & Golf Clubs, Casinos and Corporate work, Anna began in the Business as a dancer and choreographer working with named DJ's, Record Companies, big outdoor events, music festivals, and has worked in very successful dance troupes as her time as a dancer with outrageous costumes, lights, props and dance tricks bringing that extra bit of magic to all her shows, since becoming retired as a dancer, Anna had enjoyed putting together ideas of costumes, staging, lighting and programming for shows with some established artistes on the circuit, some of her own shows which she has produced herself have received Awards in 2006, 2008, 2009 & 2010 Anna is currently working on new Visual Production Shows ready for Winter 2011 and developing all the Talent from the Welsh factor and Welsh Factor Academy.

The Academy take place in JK's Liberty Suite, Neath Road, Briton Ferry, Neath, SA11 2AX Every Wednesday night at 6.00pm to 9.00pm, please contact Anna Marie Thomas on 07403 241071 for enrolment and more information on the Academy.

The Academy will start back on Wednesday 5th October 2011 - 6.30pm till 9.00pm, Teaching on the night will be our New Vocal Coach & Head Judge from the Welsh Factor Corrin Casini and Anna Marie Thomas.

On Wednesday 2nd March 2011 Anna Marie Thomas was Awarded and Presented with a Trophy for Business Person of the Year 2011 by Admiral Bay Radio Community Awards for all the work she has done developing the Talent with The Welsh Factor and The Welsh Factor Academy.
